JKEEEGA delegation calls on Pr Secy PDD, opposes privatization policy
8/1/2020 11:59:10 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Aug 1: Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) delegation comprising of Er Sachin Tickoo, Er Harvinder Singh, Er Doulat Ram, Er Rajeshwar Jamwal called on Principal Secretary PDD Rohit Kansal here in Jammu today and apprised him of the burning demands of the engineering fraternity.
JKEEGA delegation strongly opposes the privatization move of the central government and in the backdrop that unbundling of department is practically 3 month old development and all new corporations created are in early infancy stage. Human resources are yet to come to terms with such major change and are just in reconciliation mode.
Any new experiment of such kind will prove to be catastrophe to their enthusiasm and moral. A road map as envisaged in the approved unbundling report is being followed to turn around the corporations into profit making utilities and on course of this process we cannot afford any fresh experimentation. JKEEGA is strongly of the opinion that sufficient time be given to corporations to work on course to implement the proposed and approved road map before arriving at change of policy.
In this connection clear signal need to go down the line for all corporations sticking to one course to instill confidence into its human resource and to avoid any confrontation at this crucial juncture.
Delegation members pleaded that and SAC in its meeting on 22.10.2019 directed the proposal for regularization be processed on fast track at departmental level without referring to Public Service commission as one time exemption and whole process was supposed to be completed within 2 months by 30.11.2019 (GO No. 191-PDD of 2019 dated 23.10.2019).
However, despite lapse of over 8 months, none of the Engineers as on date has been regularized pursuant to such directions.
Principal Secretary PDD gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all the points brought to his notice shall be addressed in time bound manner and resolution of all issues shall be expedited on fast track basis.
