EARLY TIMES REPORT

POONCH, Aug 4: A Naib Tehsildar has allegedly misbehaved with a student, who had visited his office for Domicile Certificate, asking him to wash his car for attending his application but when later refused to oblige, the officer threw the file on his face.
While narrating his ordeal, Akhraz Khan of Golhuta of tehsil Mendhar of district Poonch who is presently studying in Jammu, said that today he visited the office of Naib Tehsildar, Harni to apply for the issuance of Domicile Certificate which was needed for job purpose but he got shocked when Naib Tehsildar asked him to wash his car in lieu of Domicile Certificate.
“When today morning, I reached the office of Naib Tehsildar, he was coming out of his office carrying bucket of water for washing his car and when the officer saw me, he instantly asked me to wash his car and said that first wash my car and only then I will see your application,” Akhraz Khan said.
He further alleged that he was shocked to hear such a thing from an officer. “I could not believe it that an officer without giving a thought, fearlessly ordered me to wash his car. Even I told him that I am a student and studying in Jammu University and you are not supposed to behave like this and I refused to oblige him and consequently the officer started using abusive language with me and threatened me that nobody can make your Domicile wherever you go,” he informed. He appealed to the District Administration to take strict action against such irresponsible officers.
When contacted the SDM Mendhar, Sahil Jandyal, said that he would inquire about the matter and would take action if anyone found guilty for this misconduct.
Meanwhile, Naib Tehsidar, Harni when contacted said that this boy had come. He was given time for Domicile. “I feel that his mental balance is not right, so he is playing this game,” said Naib Tehsildar.
