Sources said that, Mohammad Ramzan said that from the last several years they are living under threats and now they cannot bear it anymore. “I can’t live with the fear of losing my life.” He said that he was affiliated with the Indian National Congress (INC) from the last several years when he contested panchayat elections he won with a huge majority.
He said that he is around 60 years of age and belongs to a very poor family. “I have four daughters and I don’t want to put my family in risk.” Sources while quoting Sarpanch as having said that, he has nothing to do with the Congress party and he is resigning from the post of Sarpanch as he wants to live his life peacefully.
“Basically i didn’t came upto the expectations of my supporters, i used to get calls from various people for their help, but i couldn’t make it possible to continue my services, i have four daughters and wants to live my peaceful life with my children, said Ramzan lone.
However sources said that, whenever any political worker or associate was killed or abducted in Kashmir, many workers or people associated with any political party had submitted their resignations due to fear psychosis, even though some migrated to other places of the valley or demanded for security cover up.
