JAMMU, Aug 10: An impressive function was organized J&K Sports Speed Ball Association (JKSSBA) to felicitate Speed Ball players of Jammu who recently participated in an online Speed Ball single event.
The chief guest of the function was senior BJP leader and former minister Sham Lal Sharma while Ravi Tikku (President JKSSBA), Shilpa Mahajan ( Director SMIS, Akhnoor) and Sunny Nanda (General Secretary JKSSBA) were special guests.
On the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma & J&K Sports Speed Ball Association honoured the speed ball online winners. Master Smohit Sharma of (GHSS Akhnoor), who got 1st place, Master Danish Kamal Gupta of (Air Firce School) who stood 2nd, Master Gurman Singh of (Jammu Sanksriti School) who bagged 3rd Place and Master Gurvansh Choudhary of (Dogra Hr Sec School) who managed 4th Place were felicitated.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma congratulated the whole team and gives best wishes for the forthcoming events, adding that the Department of Sports would provide all the help in promoting the game of Speed Ball to its highest pinnacle. Sunny Nanda gave vote of thanks.
As many as 10 schools including DPS Jammu, Jammu Sanskriti School, Air Force School, Dogra Hr Sec School, SD Tara Puri High School, Banyan International School, May Fair Hr Sec School, Shiksha Niketan School, RM Public School, Cresent Public School, Lawrence Public School, British International School, Birla Open Minds International School participated in the competition.
