DODA, Aug 25: Trial-cum Selection in the discipline of Cricket and Foot Ball AAG Boys, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K, concluded today here at Sports Stadium in the presence of prominent Sports lovers.
Around 80 students/Players drawn from Government as well as private institutions of zone Doda, participated in the competition.
Principal HSS Trown, Tanveer Ahmed Wani, was the chief guest. He appreciated the efforts of the I/c Zonal Physical Education Officer Doda Kishori Lal Thakur for organizing such a disciplined competition strictly under SOP guidelines for protection against COVID-19 pandemic.
Quoting Baron Pierre-De-Coubertin Olympic motto “Citius Altius and Fortius” meaning for the fastest, highest and strongest in the competition, he said that sports is part and parcel of Education and Education without sports is incomplete.
The Trial-cum Selection was organized under the patronage of Dr. Saleem-ul-Rehman Director General-YSS J&K and under the chairmanship of Jaffar Hussain Sheikh DYSSO Doda and under the overall supervision Kishori Lal Thakur I/c ZPEO Zone.
The selection was conducted by Technical panel and experts including Bhanu Partap Singh PEM, Ifroz Hussain PET, Ravinder Singh PET, Parmod Thakur PET, Nareshna Devi PET, Majid Aslam Wani PEM, Muzamil Rashid REK Tr. Zone Doda, Farooq Ahmed PET, Khalid Hussain NYC and Sher Mohammad Mir Chowkidar at Sports Stadium Doda.
