Cong leaders from Kashmir in state of disagreement over party leadership
VP Monga lambasted by leaders for his anti-party activities

EARLY TIMES REPORT

SRINAGAR, Aug 25: It seems all is not well within the Congress party with regards to its leadership stand in Jammu and Kashmir as the party has lambasted former MLC and Vice President (VP) Ghulam Nabi Monga for his anti-party activities.
The party has expressed dissatisfaction after the Vice President had written a letter to party high command seeking removal of Party President Ghulam Ahmad Mir. As per the local news report, the letter was signed by many political leaders including G N Monga.
Meanwhile, the Congress party in a statement has expressed dissatisfaction over the former Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Monga, stating that “he is an intolerable liability and is not even able to win a Panch seat in his constituency during his failed political career.” The leaders further lambasted Vice President Monga over his actions stating that the intention of the VP was to weaken Congress Party in order to serve his vested interest.
Sources told Early Times that many leaders from Congress including Monga are not happy with the work of Party President Ghulam Ahmad Mir and seeking his removal from the president post over his lack of leadership.
However, there are many leaders in Congress party including party president Kashmir, which are showing full support to party President Ghulam Ahmad Mir.
“The party Vice President and former MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga seems to have lost his mind. At a time when party demands unity and strong commitment, cheap things like these won’t help”, a party leader told Early Times on anonymity.
“He should have avoided such activities which can cause fissures within Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee. We need to stand together rather than making an issue out of nowhere. We are fully supporting party president Ghulam Ahmad Mir and we will continue in doing so”, he added.
