Jan-Abhiyan: DDC Ramban discusses modalities for effective implementation

RAMBAN, Sept 7: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Nazim Zai Khan today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers here to discuss the modalities for effective implementation of Jan-Abhiyan (Pre-B2V3).
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma, Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi lal; ACD, CMO, CEO, Xens, DFOs and several other officers.
While discussing the modalities for smooth conduct of Jan-Abhiyan, the DDC said that the campaign will start from September 10 and last till October 1, 2020.
“The 21 day long Jan Abhiyan will lead to the build up to the actual B2V3 program” he said.
It was decided in the meeting that during Jan Abhiyan, Block Diwas shall be organized in all eleven blocks of the district.
On September 16, Block Diwas would be organized in four blocks including Gool, Sangaldan, Gundi -Dharam and Gandhri. Similarly Block Diwas would be observed in Block Banihal, Ukhral, Ramsoo and Khari on September 23, and Block Diwas would be marked in Ramban, Rajgarh and Batote Block on September 30.
The DDC directed that on the day all departmental functionaries shall be available at notified places in the block with all supporting staff as equipment to ensure immediate, on the spot disposal of applications, redress of grievances and to ensure that public does not face harassment due to unavailability or unresponsiveness of any government functionary,” he added.
The DDC said that the aims and focus of Jan-Abhiyan phase shall be three important components, Adhikar Abhiyan, Unnat Gram Abhiyan and Jan Sunwai Abhiyan.
Specifying the objective of the program, the DDC said Jan Abhiyan will focus on Energizing Panchayats; collecting feedback on delivery of government schemes; capturing specific economic potential and undertaking assessment of needs of the villagers.
He directed the ACD and DPO to identify the target population for every service -individual beneficiary schemes and certificates in order to ensure that hundred percent of targeted population is covered.
He directed the concerned officers to ensure implementation of SOP to prevent spread of COVID-19 while conducting Jan-Abhiyan activities.
