Jammu, Sept 7: In continuation of the streak towards implementing eGovernance reforms in a time-bound manner in Associated Hospitals of Jammu, Administrator Amit Sharma who is an eGov Specialist, in collusion with Principal & Dean, GMC Jammu Dr Nasib C Digra and his team including Dr Deepak Kumar, Dy MS, Super Specialty Hospital, Dr Sandeep Dogra, Associated Professor, Department of Microbiology and Dr Vivek Mahajan, Department of Pharmacology today held a comprehensive meeting joined through live Webinar with top IT teams working at National level who have already developed and successfully implemented these solutions in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and other parts of the nation.
Administrator Amit Sharma led this IT and automation meeting with a focus to implement Online Registration System for the convenience of last mile user especially the patients who go through a lot of struggle in seeking appointments for OPD with Specialist Doctors in Associated Hospitals including Government Medical Hospital, Super Specialty Hospital, SMGS Hospital, CD Hospital in all-important winter capital Jammu of the Union Territory.
The main focus of the meeting was that the Administrator Amit Sharma and his team had a live study of presentations of some top consultancies of the nation during Webinar with Consultancies who have successfully implemented eGovernance models in Hospital Administration including automated solutions for OPD Management with minimal Turn Around Time (TAT), Inventory Management, Lab Testing Management, Billing Management, Diet Management, Linen Management, etc. in different states and Union Territories of the nation.
Administrator Amit Sharma appreciated Dr Deepak Kumar, Dy MS and his team for taking a lead in implementing Automated Centralised Billing Solution in Super Specialty Hospital which has eased burden of standing in long queues for making payment manually at different counters in various departments of the Hospital and he further directed this Automation team to replicate same in all Associated Hospitals including GMCH and SMGS Hospital for the convenience of needy patients here.
Before culmination of this meeting, it was decided by the Committee led by Amit Sharma that very soon, a special Project Report in this behalf alongwith Presentation shall be submitted to Administrative Department to take it further and ensuring that this all-important Project for the welfare of patients especially during this long ongoing Corona Pandemic time can see the light of the day at the earliest wherein contactless working has become a new norm and this solution of automation and Online OPD exactly fits into this norm.
