JACEGA demands issuance of SRO

Jammu, Sept 14: Joint Action Committee of Engineering Graduates Associations (JECEGA) has demanded for the issuance of SRO for the assured career progression scheme, regularization of all in-charge promotions and implementation of SRO 42 of 2011.
All the constituent associations of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of various Engineering Graduates associations CIVIL, MECHANICAL and ELECTRICAL wings held a virtual meeting with participants from both the provinces of Jammu and Kashmir today in which Er. Firdous Ahad Bhat (President, JK MEGA), Er.Munshi Majid Ali (President, JKEEGA),Er. Farooq Ahmed (President, JKCEGA), Er.Sachin Tickoo,General Secretary JKEEGA, Deepak Gupta, General Secretary JK MEGA participated.
They discussed threadbare the casual approach of the government in resolving the genuine and legitimate issues of the engineers particularly the Assured Career progression and Grade Pay 4260. The JAC, though welcomed the announcement of the Principle Secretary, Education department regarding moving a proposal for seeking Assured Progressing Scheme for +2 lecturers, but also expressed surprise and displeasure over the governments silence and non-seriousness in issuing the SRO for the ACP Scheme already approved for the engineer’s way back in 2017.
The JAC has sought an appointment with Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha so that the JAC could be able to apprise him about their grievances.
