Block level 'Jan Sunwai' camps held at Nagri, Keeriyan Gandyal Blocks of Kathua

KATHUA, Sept 14:- District Development Commissioner, Kathua, O.P Bhagat today presided over the 'Jan Sunwai Abhiyan' proceedings at Block Headquarters of Nagri & Keeriyan Gandyal blocks.
At Nagri, the DDC held an interactive session with elected PRI representatives who apprised DDC about their problems and demands. He passed immediate directions to the concerned departments for early redressal of the highlighted issues.
During the camp, 15 Domicile & 10 MGNREGA job cards were distributed among the applicants.
At Block Headquarter Keeriyan Gandyal, several depuations called on DDC and put forth their issues and grievances. The deputation members raised several issues of public importance including shortage of adequate medical staff in health institutions, early completion of Hatli road, augmentation of water supply and better mobile network coverage etc.
The DDC said Jan Abhiyan and Back to Village programmes have been launched with the purpose to reach out to the people at their doorsteps for listening their grievances and developmental aspirations.
He assured that priority will be given to the projected issues and called upon the officers concerned to ensure redress of the same within stipulated time. He also directed Nodal officer to submit action taken report on regular basis.
On the occasion, the DDC gave away 15 Domicile Certificates to the eligible applicants.
ACD, Narayan Dutt, BDO Nagri, Deepak Kumar, BDO Keeriyan Gandyal, Dr Deepika Sharma and block level officers were also present.
During Jan Abhiyan Programme held for twin Pancahyats Plakh and Preta at Panchayat Ghar Nagrota, Tehsildar Basohli, Aman Anand and BDO, Ranjeet Kaur, distributed 100 income certificates, 50 Domicile certificates, 45 category certificates among the eligible applicants,.
At Baggan Pancahyat in Billawar, Tehsildar, Pankaj Sharma and BDO Satish Kumar distributed 260 Domicile Certificates and 120 category certificates among the applicants.
