Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 5: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leaders today visited the agitating Kashmiri Migrant Unemployed Youth at Press Club Complex here, expressed solidarity with them and extended full support to their demands including rescinding the instructions for inviting fresh applications to various categories of posts.
The National Conference leaders urged the administration to consider the demands of the aggrieved youth and show some sort of compassion to their plight. Instead of pushing them to wall, they should be taken into confidence as their future is at stake. They have already undergone a traumatic phase due to chronic unemployment with some of them getting overaged in pursuit of finding sustenance, they said, hoping the administration will come forward and end the stalemate caused due to administrative apathy. Senior leaders said it is intriguing that despite assurance by the Lt Governor, nobody is paying heed to the issues confronted to them. They assured the aggrieved youth the party's unflinching support to their just and legitimate cause. They also urged the administration to fill up all the vacancies under Prime Minister's Package on the fast track basis. Also, there is immense need of generating job avenues for Kashmiri migrant unemployed youth.
Those who met and supported the protesters included Mr Anil Dhar, Mr M.K Yogi, Mr Bushan Lal Bhat, Mr Jatin Bhat, Mr Bal Ji Bhat, Mr Umesh Talashi, Mr T.K Dhar, Mr Sunil Bhat, Mr T.K Koul, Mr P.L Talashi and others.
