B2V-3 activities held across 84 Panchayats of Udhampur District

UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: Back to Village-3 activities were today held across 84 panchayats of this district as the Flagship development campaign entered into second phase.
The first leg of the programme witnessed wide ranging activities across 64 panchayats during which top government funcationaries including Suresh Chug, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, SMD J&K, ICDS Nitu Gupta, Samita Sethi, Director, Command Area Development/Director Social Welfare Jammu, Director Tourism, Jammu, Raj Kumar Katoch, Additional Secretary to Government, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Rakesh Kumar besides other officers visited assigned Panchayats and get feedback from the locals about the development requirements and their demands.
Meanwhile, the public have appreciated this unique initiative of LG administration and expressed optimism that the endeavour would result in the socio-economic empowerment of rural areas.
Various line departments disseminated information related to their schemes by putting up posters/banners. The people were also educated about the objective of programme and various centre and state sponsored schemes.
Other activities included holding of Gram Sabhas, distribution of golden cards under Ayushman Bharat schemes, KCCs, Domicile Certificates, inauguration of developmental works, Greh Parvesh of PMAY beneficiaries, Distribution of sports kits, holding of Sports activities etc.
The locals projected many issues including low voltage and sought replacement of wooden poles, up gradation of schools, improvement of internal roads, up gradation of mobile connectivity among others.
