EArly Times Report

Jammu, Oct 11: Highlighting the pro farmer policies of Narendra Modi led Central Government, Kissan Morcha of District Jammu West organized a “Farmers Convention” at Camp area of Talab Tillo.
Lok Sabha MP Jammu Poonch Jugal Kishore Sharma and Former State President BJP J&K Sat Sharma (CA) addressed a large number of farmers and termed the all three bills passed as boon for farmers by Modi Government.
District President BJP Munish Khajuria, Prabhari Jammu West Rekha Mahajan, Seh Prabhari Shailja Gupta, District General Secretaries Rajesh Gupta and Karan Sharma, Mandal Presidents Raveesh Mengi and Keshav Chopra, UT General Secretary Kissan Morcha Rohit Verma Masson, Corporator Ward 32 Sat Pal Karlupia and many others participated in the convention and gave their views on the new Agricultural law.
The program was held under the leadership of District President Kissan Morcha Ram Pal Saini.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that it is indeed a major step towards development of farmers across the country which was taken up by the Central Government and it will bring major transformation in the lives of farmers as well. He said Congress and its allies are agitating against the Act because they could not bring such a law during their tenure for farmer’s welfare and they only focused on degrading the lifestyle of farmers for decades which deteriorated the Agricultural structure of the country. He stated that these Acts will not only improve the lifestyle of farmers but will also help them in boosting their work.
Sat Sharma said that all three farm bills passed depict that the income of farmers is going to increase and it will double their income in coming times. He said that the new laws will make the farmer independent and fetch them a better price for their produce. He stated that the laws propose a system in which the farmers and traders can sell their produce outside Mandi’s as well and further it will also encourage the intra-State traders and this proposes to reduce the cost of transportation as well, he added.
Rekha Mahajan, Sahilja Gupta, Rohit Verma Masson, Raveesh Mengi, Keshav Chopra and Sat Pal Karlupia also spoke on the occasion. The proceedings were conducted by District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta and vote of thanks was presented by Kissan Morcha President Ram Pal Saini.
