JTC, SKF hold meeting, project several demands

JAMMU, Oct 11: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held at Jagti Nagrota under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the members Shadi Lal Pandita said that today is the 10th day of our agitation which was started on October 2 and will continue till government meets our demands.
Pandita said that the attitude of the government is such that it neither listen with its ears nor see with its eyes that the Kashmiri Pandits are living a difficult life. The government should solve the demands of Jagti Tenement Committee, Soan Kashmir Front J&K as soon as possible. Pandita demanded that the monthly cash relief of relief holders should be enhanced from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month.
Pandita said that the government should provide one job to each migrant family in a house where there is no employee in the family for which a package of 20,000 jobs should be given. Out of these 20 thousand posts 5,000 Class IV posts should be given to the unemployed youth of these families who could not send their children for higher education after matriculation due to poverty and migration.
He demanded that the government should provide free ration to those pensioners who are drawing low pensions besides he also raised several other demands.
