DC Poonch listens to people's issues at Block Diwas program

POONCH, Oct, 28: District Administration Poonch under the headship of District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, listened to public issues here during Block Diwas program held here at Conference hall of DC Office.
A series of activities were also organised at different places of the district viz Mendhar, Mandi and Surankote which witnessed overwhelming public response. The people in large numbers interacted with the officers and officials of different departments and apprised them of the issues and demands of their respective areas.
During the programme, PRI members and locals raised demands of their areas including augmentation of water and power supply, Medicare facility and various other issues related to day to day life.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the main aim of conducting such programmes is to improve service delivery and grievances redressal mechanism. He said the Tehsil, Block and District level officers would remain available at these events to hear the public grievances for their on the spot redress.
Meanwhile, several grievances were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt resolution through an established tracking system. In the program, a review was also taken by DDC on all the previous issues projected by the local people.
The DDC directed the concerned officers and officials of different departments to play a proactive role in fulfilling developmental requirements of public .He also appealed to people and PRIs to cooperate with the administration to achieve the new heights in terms of development in the district and stressed for making the best use of funds provided to each Panchayat by making comprehensive plans so that some block level infrastructure could be created.
On the occasion, a number of revenue documents and other Government services were provided to the common masses.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Madan Lal; CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer; ARTO Poonch, Jugal Kishore; Chief Horticulture Officer, executive agencies of different departments besides all district officers.
