Basic development, implementation of schemes agenda of 'Block Diwas': DC Ramban

RAMBAN, Nov 11: Ensure service delivery as desired by the people to meet basic requirements of their life besides implementing all the social/financial assistance as well as development schemes to provide them effective governance at their doorstep.
It was directed by the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan to officers while listening to the public grievances during "Block Diwas" meeting at Banihal.
Similar events were held at five different locations of district Ramban.
BDC Chairperson, Banihal, Rashida Begum, BDC Chairperson Khari, Sajad Hussain, SDM, Zaheer Abbas, CMO, CEO and various sectoral and district officers besides PRIs attended the meeting.
DDC directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner , Ramban to conduct a monthly camp at Banihal so that labourer can reap the benefit from various welfare schemes launched by the government for them.
The DDC listened to public issues, grievances and demands highlighted by the PRIs, deputations and individuals from Panchyats of different blocks.
He encouraged the participants to highlight their individual issues also to avoid their visits to government offices. He directed the district and sectoral officers to ensure service counter of their respective departments at Block Diwas meetings so that the public can reap the benefit of different government schemes without visiting offices repeatedly.
The DDC said that the district administration is making all efforts to provide all the basic amenities to the common masses at their doorsteps besides formulating a plan for beautification of Banihal town.
Earlier, the people apprised the DDC about their demands including completion of Aanchal Road, Changloo road under PMGSY, minimizing of curtailment of power, augmentation of transformers, water supply for Ashar panchyat, maintenance of Nachlana to Mahumangit road, new Health and Anganwari centre for Gund Tethar , availability of firewood on concession rates, electric poles for Lamber completion of, opening of firewood depot in uncovered areas, release of payment under MGNREGA,
After listening to all the issues, the DDC passed on the spot directions to the concerned departments for early redress of the same. He assured the public that all their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a time bound manner.
