Dostana: After years of animosity, Omar-Sajad are ‘friends’!

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 11: After years of apparent animosities, former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and the separatist-turned-mainstream leader, Sajad Lone are “friends.”
Now both Omar and Sajad not only talk to each other but even tag each other on the social media posts like “friends”.
During their trip to Jammu here not only were Omar and Sajad seen sitting together but they projected themselves like being friends.
But till around a year ago, the two were seen as “Enemies No 1.”
In February 2019, Sajad Lone had told media that “When people like Omar Abdullah talk about the rights of Kashmiris, it only trivialises the issue.”
In 2014, hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi rallied in Srinagar that time, Omar had accused Sajad Lone of transporting people to the venue for the BJP.
"So @sajadlone is sending about 80 vehicles of supporters from Kupwara to help his "big brother" make up the numbers," Omar had said on micro blogging site Twitter.
On July 16, 2018, Sajjad Lone had taken a dig at Omar Abdullah.
Lone, who was a minister in the PDP led government headed by Mehbooba Mufti from BJP quota, had taken to micro-blogging site twitter. “I am amazed at omar abdullah. The way he criticises the previous Govt— one would have thought that he must have been an ace administrator. Well we all know he presided over a government which will go down in history as one of the most inefficient brutal and corrupt Govt,” Sajad had tweeted.
Lone would call Omar by several names and would not even tolerate to talk about him.
Omar on the other hand looked at Sajad as his arch rival not worth for the chair of Chief Minister.
But as of now, the two arch rivals and adversaries have gone for a “friendship.” “Till how long will such enemies pose to be friends needs to be seen,” said a political observer.
Despite repeated attempts, Omar and Sajad were not available to comment on how they have become friends?
