| ASKPC demand passage to temples and shrines Bill | | |

Jammu, Nov 11: In a meeting held at ASKPC Bhawan Jammu, President Ram Krishan Wangnoo asked Lieutenant Governor to intervene and give passage to Temples and Shrines Bill so that Kashmiri Pandits could save their religious heritage in Kashmir.
He asked the Government to remove the hurdles which create hindrance in filling up the remaining 3000 posts out of 6000 which were announced in 2008 by the then Prime Minister of India for Kashmiri migrants. It was a matter of concern that in 12 years the government of India and Jammu Kashmir could not fill up all the posts. Besides, he demanded creation of more posts in different Central and UT government departments for absorbing all Kashmiri Migrant educated unemployed youths so that they could earn their livelihood.
Bharat Bushan Bhat General Secretary in his speech showed concern on the unhygienic conditions in which PMs Package employees live in Kashmir from the dates they joined their duties in Valley as three different families were asked to share one accommodation. He demanded each family whether in camps or outside on rent may be provided with a separate accommodation so that they could live with grace. He asked the Lieutenant Governor to provide laptops to all migrant students so that they could attend online classes without damaging their eyes on mobile sets. Bhat added that educated overaged youths may be given monthly cash assistance plus interest free loans so that they could establish their own business, and the government could withdraw the cash assistance after they establish their business. In his address he demanded that the government should relax the age of migrant unemployed educated youths so that they could get the job. Ravinder Raina Vice- President of the organization reported to members about the developments that took place in the Webinar organized by the AIKS. The agenda set by the host was “Changing dynamics of JKUT in view of recent government orders and our Resettlement/Rehabilitation in Kashmir” The 17 participants from different organizations of the Kashmiri Pandit Community including ASKPC kept their party viewpoint. Among others who attended the meeting were S K Raina, Suneel Bhat, R L Koul, Shuband Pandits, Jawhar Lal Pandita, Ashok Dhar, Kuldeep Pandita, Sanjay Pandita, Vimal Wantoo, B K Mujoo, Greesham Gurtoo and Bushan Bhan, M L Bhat and Ravi Raina. |
