Jammu, Nov 11: NSS Unit of GGM Science College Cluster University of Jamu today organized a charity drive, “We Care”.
The volunteers collected warm clothes, toys, books, diyas, candles, etc with an aim to provide them to some needy people. They gave a message, “Let’s make Diwali Happy Diwali”. They distributed warm clothes, shoes, toys, books and other items to needy underprivileged people in various parts of Jammu city like Mana Basti, slum area near Sarwal Hospital, Trikuta Nagar, Bawe, etc. The event was guided by Dr. PoonamKamotra HOD Chemistry, judged by Dr. Sushma Sharma Dept. of Zoology and Dr. Anju Dept. of Physics. The first position was bagged by team of Shrneya School of Sciences, second position was taken by team of Shagun and third was bagged by Muskan and team GGM Science College CLUJ. The artistic and noble cause by NSS volunteers were praised by worthy Principal sir and they motivated students to use their skills in life to reach their goals. |
