GDC Bhaderwah organizes international web-conference

Bhaderwah, Nov 11: Department of Zoology, Government Postgraduate College Bhaderwah since its inception organised first ever three day International Web conference-2020 (IWC-2020) on theme ‘Safe water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Health’ from 9th to 11th November 2020. The conference was organised under the patronship of Principal Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Convenership of Dr. Wahied Khawar Balwan, Assistant Professor Zoology, GDC Bhaderwah and Dr. A. K. Verma, Conference Director & Zoologist from Prayagraj UP.
The conference was organised in association with Dr. Rafiq Zakaria College for Women Aurangabad, Glocal Environment and Social Association (GESA), New Delhi, Asian Biological Research Foundation (ABRF) Prayagraj, UP and Nepal Aquaculture Society, Kathmandu Nepal.
The chief guest in the inaugural session was Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Vice Chancellor, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar. A total of about 95 abstracts were received from faculty members, research scholars and students from all over India and other countries in particular Nepal, Bangladesh that have been published in Abstract Booklet. During the conference four technical sessions were held coordinated by reputed faculty from different institutes in which research scholars and faculty members presented their research work.
The valedictory session was presided by chief guest Prof. Ajoy Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor, Bihar Agriculture university, Sabour, Bhagalpur (Bihar), Dr. Heera Lal, IAS, Mission Director, National Health Mission, UP, Prof. S. N. Labh, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu Nepal, Dr. A. K. pandey, Principal Scientist, ICAR Lucknow, Dr. Shaikh Yasmeen, Convener, Dr. Sunita Arya and Dr. Sadguru Prakash, Organizing secretaries. The conference was concluded with award ceremony by Dr. A K Verma conference director and vote of thanks by Dr. Wahied Khawar Balwan, Convener of IWC-2020.
