| 464 nominations received, notification issued for phase 6 in Kupwara | | | Early Times Report
KUPWARA, Nov 19: Four hundred and sixty four nominations were received, while notification has been also issued for phase 6th in this north Kashmir district.
According to DPEO Kupwara, Anshul Garg that they have issued notification for the phase-6th of the District Development Council and Panchayat by-elections, for one DDC constituency viz. Nutnussa in district Kupwara.
Simultaneously public notices were issued for vacant seats of 03 Sarpanch and 65 Panch seats falling in the constituency, said DPEO.
He said that as per the notification, the last date for submission of nomination forms is November 26, while scrutiny of nomination papers shall be held on November 27.
The last date for withdrawal of candidature is December 01 while, December 13 is the election date (wherever necessary) for the sixth phase with polling time from 7am to 2 pm.
As per data issued by District Election Officer Kupwara, 92 polling stations have been established and 280 Presiding and Polling officers have been appointed.
District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Kupwara, Anshul Garg also said that 464 nomination forms have been received for phase 3rd of District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat by-election in the district.
For 2 District Development Council (DDC) constituencies' viz. Hayhama and Qaziabad, as many as 47 nomination forms have been received for phase three till last date November 18.
These 47 nomination forms include 31 in Hayhama and 16 in Qaziabad constituencies.
While as DPEO also said 34 nomination forms have been received for vacant Sarpanch and 383 Panch seats in these DDC constituencies. |
