ROB organises webinar through its Field outreach offices at Rajouri, Doda

Rajouri/Doda, Nov 19: Regional Outreach Bureau, Jammu & Kashmir, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organised Webinars on “COVID appropriate behaviour” and “Living with COVID” at FOB Rajouri and FOB Doda respectively. Both the webinars were presided by Neha Jalali, Deputy Director and Head of ROB J&K and was attended by Addl. Deputy Commissioners, Chief Medical Officers of the respective districts.
Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, ROB Jammu & Kashmir, during her address in Webinar “Covid Appropriate Behaviour” by FOB Rajouri said that district administration and health department has played a crucial role in containing the spread of Virus. She was of the view that public participation is a critical factor for behavioural change to fight Covid pandemic. She also gave an outline of various activities being conducted by ROB and its field offices to spread awareness regarding Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
Sher Singh, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri gave an overview of overall strategy followed by the district administration in containing the spread of virus. He provided elaborated information and discussed comprehensive strategy in dealing with Covid infected persons, total active cases, recovery and deaths in Rajouri district. He also mentioned that various events under the “Back to Village” programme including “Block Diwas” were being utilised to spread awareness about Covid . Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri, emphasised the importance of physical distancing, wearing a mask, washing hands , refraining from social gatherings and coming out of home unnecessarily. Faculty members from various colleges of Rajouri participated in the Webinar and urged the participants to follow SOPs and guidelines of the Government regarding Covid appropriate Behaviour.
In another Webinar on “Living with Covid” by Field Outreach Bureau, Doda; Kishori Lal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda who spoke about overall strategy followed by the district administration in containing the spread of virus. He provided elaborated information about the efforts of District administration Doda in controlling COVID. He also mentioned that “Convergence approach was being used for utilising the services of ASHA workers, teachers, PRIs, field functionaries to spread awareness and monitor active cases of Covid at district level. Dr. R K Bhagat , Deputy CMO , Doda mentioned about the importance of physical distancing, wearing a mask, washing hands , refraining from social gatherings and coming out of home unnecessarily. He also appealed to public to follow all the guidelines of Government as the pandemic is not yet over. Dr. Jamshed Ahmad ,Asst. Professor, Government Degree College Doda spoke about the international scenario of the pandemic and appealed the citizens to follow healthy lifestyle and adopt yoga and other exercises.
