JAMMU, Nov 8: Press Club 11 today defeated Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor during the ongoing third match of ‘NBF T20 2020-21 Friendship Cup’ at JKCA Ground Science College Jammu.
On the occasion, Vinay Sharma, SSP ANTF was the Chief Guest where as renowned businessman Bhupesh Gupta and Rajan Gupta, President, Sarv Shakti Sena were the Guests of Honour.
The series has been conducted by Nirbhay Bharat Foundation under the supervision of Tarun Uppal, Chairman of the Foundation with an aim to promote sports spirit among the talented youth of the Union Territory.
Today’s match was played between Press Club 11 and Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor in which Singh Cricket Club gave a target of 117 run .
Winning the toss in today's match, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor has decided to bat first and set a target of 117 run while the Press Club 11 hit the target by scoring 119 runs. On the occasion, Mohit Sharma was declared as the Man of the Match.
Vinay Sharma, SSP ANTF said that this event will surely bring some positivity which was missing since the outbreak of COVID-19. He advised the youth to stay away from drugs as it not only disturbs the family life but causes destruction in the society as well. He appreciated Nirbhay Bharat Foundation for organizing the event.
Tarun Uppal, in his address, informed that more sports events for the youth will be organised in near future. He said that such type of events exemplifies the sentiment of public for peace and prosperity in the UT.
