JAMMU, Nov 24: NCC Girl cadets (Senior Wing) of 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC visited the old age home in Amphalla along with Associate NCC officer Dr. (Capt.) Anjana Sharma on the occasion of celebration of NCC day 2020 under the patronage of worthy principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo and Commanding Officer Col. Satwinder Singh, 2 J & K Girls Bn NCC.
The purpose of this visit was to inculcate in today's young generation a sense of responsibility and human feeling for the aged citizens of our society. The NCC cadets were motivated by the principal and Commanding Officer to inculcate in them, the basic culture and values of Indian society to respect the elders and also to learn from elder people and be wise.
The group also donated different items like winter wear, caps, scarves, medicines, electric gel heating pads, eatables etc with dry ration for the people old age home, out of the money collected from their pocket money as well as the donations from the students and staff of the college. |
