Jammu, Nov 27: Charanjit Singh Khalsa, Ex-MLC expressed thanks to LG for having given final sanction for setting up the Guru Nanak ji Chair , the first inaugural webinar for which was held in Panjabi PG Dept of Jammu Univ. on 26.11.2020 on life and teachings of Guru Nanak. Prominent scholars from Delhi University and University of Chandigarh spoke on the life, teachings and reforms preached by Guru Nanak.
We are grateful to His Excellency this gesture and are quite hopeful that under his chairmanship as Chancellor of the Jammu Univ. Panjabi PG Dept. will play a vital role in fulfilling the objectives for which the Chair has been established.
Guru Nanak Dev ji had always believed in co-existence , peace and transformation of society to become a practical one by showing respect to every religion of the society while ensuring all the coming in the society are eliminated and we learn to treat every living human being as members of the society with respect.
Guru ji during his four udasis( world travels) , travelled across Afganistan , Arabian countries, Russia, Europe , China , Tibet , South East Asia , Indian Sub Continent including Jammu ,Kashmir and Ladakh . His teachings across all religious cultural barriers, societies brought him respect every where and people still remember him by many names as messanger of God .
