12/16/2020 11:03:53 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 16: On 16th day of their agitation, Dharmarth Trust employees held a strong protest at Central Office of the Dharmarth Trust Shalamar Karan Bhawan Jammu in support of their demand to merge all the temples under dharmarth trust with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji shrine to protect the symbol of dogra heritage or constitute independent board to run the affairs properly .
A large number of Dharmarth Trust employees including priests of Shri Raghunath Mandir, Hari Bhawan Purmandal, Uttar Behani, Birpur, Kashmir unit & Sudhmahadev also participate under the banner of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) assembled and raised slogans against the Dharmarth trust management.
Later, they submitted a memorandum of demands to Manoj Sinah Lt. Governor of U.T Govt. requesting him to intervene into a matter for its early redressal.
Speaking on the occasion, President of the Association, Vivek Bandral and senior member, Rajinder Shastri besides ex-General Secretary, Pritam Sharma and ex-president, Karnail Chand said that they submitted charter of demands to trust management but instead of trust management hold talks and settled the demands of the employees they suspended Association President, General Secretary and office bearer with malafide attention and revengeful attitude to crush the trade union activities.
Whenever employees raised their voice, they said, their service has been terminated or and it is already happened in 2001 when the service of the Association President and General Secretary were terminated as they projected the demands of the poor and low paid employees of the trust and also expose the corrupt policies of trust management and now they again adopt same method to suspend our five employees so that rest of employees remain silent.
"Employees Association further alleged that there is no fair management in the trust and only some few own choice persons of the trustees given key post of the trust and drawing higher salaries of Rs. 25000/Per month to 50000/ whereas other employees such as Pujaris, Guard, Malies, Safai karamcharis, clerical staff have given very meager amount of Rs. 2000 to 8000 which is not sufficient to meet the requirement of their family members in these costly days," they said adding that as such employees demanding pay scale at par with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board employees for the last 25 years but trust management always denied their demands.
And now Trust management up handed that they unable to enhance pay of its employees on the plea that trust going on deficit but employees Association is not agree with this because trust has huge property like land Shops, buildings, Yatri Niwas, gold and silver ornament worth crore of rupee which was sold by the trustees by way of under hand deals, they added.
"We demand CBI inquiry in the all aforesaid misdeeds of Dharmarth trust so that truth comes out and in this connection a latter with details fact has already been submitted to Lt. Governor and CBI Jammu wing," they said.
"We demanded that Govt. should constitute independent Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust and take over all property moveable and immoveable from the person having control on trust," they said.
