Govt employees to voluntary contribute for Red Cross fund annually

JAMMU, Dec 16: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday sanctioned announcement of the voluntary contribution of government employees towards Red Cross fund annually.
"It is hereby enjoyed upon all the employees of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to make a voluntary contribution to the Red Cross Society, J&K subject to the minimum of the following amount per annum", reads the government order.
As per the order, employees with grade pay in pre-revised pay of Rs 8700 & above have to pay Rs 500, employees with grade pay in pre-revised pay of Rs 5600-7600 have to pay Rs 400 rupees, employees with grade pay in pre-revised pay of Rs 4200-5400 have to pay 300 rupees, employees with grade pay in pre-revised pay of Rs 1800-2800 have to pay rupees 150 and employees with grade pay in pre-revised pay of below 1800 has to pay Rs 100 per annum.
While as Advisor, Secretaries of the different administrative department HODs may contribute Rs. 1000 per annum.
The above amount shall be the minimum contribution per annum, but the officers/officials shall be free to contribute more if any so choose. The amount may be deducted at source by the Drawing and Disbursing Officers in the month of January 2021 and shall remit the same in the following manner.
The contribution in respect of District level offices shall be forwarded to Deputy Commissioner concerned for crediting to the account of the District Red Cross Society. The collection in respect of the provincial offices of the Head of Departments etc. shall be remitted to the account of the Divisional d Red Cross Society through Divisional Commissioner concerned; and
The collection in respect of the Secretariat and other Move offices shall be credited by the DDOs to the official account number 01 1001 0200000826 J&K Bank Civil Secretariat, Moving Branch maintained by Director Finance, General Administration Department who in turn shall pass on the amount so collected to the State Red Cross Society through e-transfer.
All the Drawing and Disbursing Officers while remitting the amount in an aforementioned manner shall also forward the statement of deductions to the respective designated officers for the purpose of record and reference.
