Dry run for COVID19 vaccination conducted in Poonch

POONCH, Jan 6: The Department of Health and Family welfare Poonch on Wednesday conducted a dry run for COVID 19 vaccination here at District Hospital.
The mock drive at District Hospital was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav. Similar exercise was also held at Community Health Centre Mandi and Community Health Centre Mendhar.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. G.A Malik; Medical Superintended, Dr. Mushtaq; DPM, Nikhat Khawaja, and DM&EO, Dr. Rahul Sharma were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner, while speaking on the occasion, said that the introduction of the Coronavirus vaccine will save the lives of people from the deadly COVID 19 pandemic and the need of the hour is to work with utmost dedication for the successful introduction of the vaccine in the district for the welfare of the masses.
He directed the concerned officers to work in a mission mode to ensure the successful conduct of the mock drive of the COVID19 vaccination to avoid any inconvenience at the time when vaccination drive actually starts in the district.
Earlier, the Chief Medical Officer said the objective of the dry run for Covid-19 Vaccine introduction is to assess operational feasibility in the use of Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network (Co-WIN) application in the field environment, to test the linkages between planning and implementation and to identify the challenges and guide way forward prior to actual implementation.
The Chief Medical Officer informed that a total of 75 beneficiaries selected from Co-WIN platform have participated during the mock drive held in District Hospital Poonch, CHC Mandi and CHC Mendhar.
