Era of dynast rulers over, BJP’s pro-people policies future of J&K: Kavinder
‘Abdullahs, Muftis looted J&K, their political careers over’
1/11/2021 10:51:59 PM
Early Times report

Jammu, Jan 11: The dynast rulers like Abdullahs and Mufti have looted the people of Jammu and Kashmir for seven decades and their future in politics is now in dark, because of pro-people policies of Bharatiya Janata Party, former chief minister Kavinder Gupta said on Monday.
“In an interview, National Conference leader and former chief minister Omar Abdullah said that he is facing question of whether he should continue in politics or not. Truth be told, with what they have done to Jammu and Kashmir and its people in past 70 years, there is no future for the likes of Abdullahs and even Muftis in the future politics of Jammu and Kashmir,” said Kavinder in a scathing attack on National Conference and People’s Democratic Party.
“In the past 70 years, the dynast rulers like Farooq and Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have looted the Jammu and Kashmir. They misused the funds given by Centre for the development of Jammu and Kashmir to fill their own coffers. They did not pay attention to the public and their issues, and couldn’t achieve anything on the ground level in all these years,” Kavinder said in a statement issued here today.
“Ever since the abrogation of Article 370, the BJP’s work for every section of the society has been finally able to reach the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We brought the triple talaq law, we gave the voting rights to refugees, Valmikis and migrants who were devoid of it for 70 years, despite being the residents of Jammu and Kashmir. The Gujjars are now benefitting under the new laws and every person in the union territory is now supported with Ayushman Bharat scheme, among tens of other policies,” he said.
“The BJP’s pro-people policies have been recognised by the public across Jammu and Kashmir and the likes of Abdullahs and Mufti must realise that the era of dynast rulers is now a history in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
