Sources said that the Janipur Police remained a centre of criticism due to uncontrolled crime and growing drug business in the area since the time of then SHO Naresh Sharma, after his removal as many as three officers have been shifted from the post of SHO Janipur.
District Police Chief in an attempt to bring a change in area, has posted inspector Nayat Ali as SHO Janipur. “Insp. Gurmeet Singh SHO Janipur shifted to DPL, Insp. Nayat Ali SHO Peer Mitha Jammu transferred and posted as SHO Janipur, Insp. Ajaz Haider from DPL is shifted as SHO Peer Mitha”, order no. 52 0f 2021, dated 18/01/2021 reads.
