SAMBA, Feb 11: Muskan Foundation organized an awareness camp at GMS Paati, Bari Brahmana for children below the age of 14 years to aware them against child abuse.
The camp was held under a three month long campaign organized by Muskan Foundation powered by Aina Organization. Muskan Foundation aware the students about different child abuse prevailing in society such as sexual harassment, physical abuse, mental torture, child labour and many more. They aware them about child abuse helpline no. i.e 1098 and further explained them about POCSO Act 2012 which is comprehensive law to provide for protection of children from the offence of sexual assault, sexual harassment and pornography. Parveen Sangral, President Muskan Foundation urged parents to be aware and listen to their children regarding child abuse. She further requested the parents to attend awareness campaign and support their children. Sangral further urges the Government to held awareness campaign in schools for children as well as parents.
Headmaster Asha Nand Sharma whole heartedly thanked Muskan Foundation to held an awareness campaign in their schools to aware children.
On the occasion, Muskan Foundation distributed refreshment and stationary items to the children and also assure them for future support and help. |
