BHADERWAH, Mar 11: An awareness camp on the hazards of drug abuse was organised by Social Welfare Department in collaboration with District legal service Authority Bhadarwah, here at Govt High School Manthalla. A large number of students Paralegal volunteers/ PRI Members and locals participated in the programme organised under the aegis of Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhyan was Chairman Block Development Council (BDC), Omi Chand was the chief guest, while member secretary (DLSA) Sub Judge, Susheel Singh was the guest of honour.
Advocates Vabhav Sharma and Divya Kotwal were resource persons.
They imparted awareness to the students and women about the harms of drug addiction and legal provisions for dealing with the perpetrators. The BDC Chairman also highlighted the hazards of drug menace. Sub Judge, Susheel Singh also explained the dangerous social and health consequences of drug abuse.
Social Welfare Officer, Subash Chander Kotwal thanked all the guests, students and School Head for attending the programme.
A prize distribution ceremony was also held at the end of the programme.
