Pace of development under Modi Govt matchless: Col Mahan
3/28/2021 12:00:23 AM
Early Times Report
BASOHLI, Mar 27: The pace of development works being carried out in J&K is unprecedented under Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government as earlier it took years to even start the projects.
This was stated by Col Mahan Singh (Retd) Chairman DDC Kathua after kick starting much awaited blacktopping work of Mahanpur-Basohli Road here on Saturday.
The DDC Chairman said that unlike others, the BJP government at the Centre has not only focused on starting new projects but also arranged adequate funds to complete these projects on time. He informed that an amount of Rs 70 lakh has been sanctioned for repair of this 32 Km long road. He said that a total of Rs 2 crore has been allotted in Basohli Division comprising Basohli, Billawar and Bani under pot-hole-free roads scheme.
Tajinder Goldy and PWD AEE Basohli R&B Division Rajesh Sumbria also accompanied the DDC Chairman during the launch of the project. About a dozen Sarpanchs and BJP workers in large number were present on the occasion.
The DDC Chairman said that the victory in DDC polls is the result of BJP's prolific polices which are being liked by the people and swaying them to support the party. He said that the time of befooling masses by rhetoric has gone and from now onwards only those political outfits which like BJP will take care of aspirations of the people will survive.
Mocking at the other parties, Col Singh said that these political groups should take a cue from BJP to run their party affairs giving priority to nation and the people as toeing anti-national line or engaging youth into destructive activities would no longer help them to survive. He said that for now there is no political force which can match BJP as far as public welfare and the nationalism is concerned. "Support to BJP is support to country and that makes it imperative for people to act wisely before deciding to act otherwise", he maintained.
