| FIR lodged against VLW, GRS Kalal Kas Panchayat-A for manhandling Panch | | | Ankit Kessar

Rajouri, Mar 27: An FIR has been lodged against two officials of the Rural Development Department (RDD) Rajouri for allegedly manhandling a panch during a meeting after which one of the officials was attached with the office ACD Rajouri.
After the incident, a deputation led by Panch Javed Iqbal of Kalal Kas Panchayat-A of Block Dhangri met DDC Rajouri on this issue.
Javed told Early Times that during FRC meeting at Panchayat Ghar, he was making video of the entire meeting wherein Village Level Worker (VLW) and Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) of Block Dhangri were also present got irritated over and the VLW threw chair on him in order to injure him and started manhandling him. The Panch immediately called the DDC Rajouri and narrated the entire incident after which the police was called which took the situation under its control. “The records of all works executed since 2016 should be checked as there is gross embezzlement of funds has been done by the officer,” he alleged further adding that he has exposed the malpractice of the department as well as the VLW and GRS through RTI with the concerned department about the works executed in his Panchayat.
He appealed to DC Rajouri for taking note of the matter and demanded strict punishment for the corrupt officer. BDO Dhangri said that the VLW has been attached with ACD office Rajouri and investigation has been initiated. |
