Jamhuriyat flourishing in real sense under BJP regime: Sham Sharma

JAMMU, Mar 27: The wave of change has been witnessed across the country, people have realized that future and welfare of young generation lies in strengthening BJP and contributing in nation building under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma while addressing a meeting at Jaswan Panchayat of Tehsil Marh in Jammu district. The former minister said that it is for the first time in the history of J&K that people are seeing Jamhuriyat flourishing in real sense and Panchayats getting funds directly through Centre. “Earlier, the development funds were provided only upto MLA and MLC levels but now under BJP regime the funds will reach upto Panchs and Sarpanchs entailing overall development of Jammu and Kashmir. This benevolent process could only be evolved due to scrapping of Article 370”, he maintained. Sham Lal said that the establishment of a three-tier system of the Panchayati Raj Institutions has been the watershed moment for grassroots democracy in Jammu and Kashmir leading the way for unprecedented development in the union territory.
Today’s monthly workers-cum-public meeting was conducted by Advocate Abhinav Sharma, State Spokesperson BJP J&K at Jaswan Panchayat of Tehsil Marh in Jammu district.
DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan, BDC Surinder Bhagat, President Kisan Morcha BJP J&K Omi Khajuria; Jammu Rural President Rajinder Chib; BDC Vandana Kumari, Mandal President Marh, Bharat Bhushan, Mandal President Raipur Domana Ashok Kerni and Sarpanchs Prithpal Singh, Ashok Saini, Deepak Jalotra and Sham Lal Sharma were also present in the meeting. Members of Gujjar community in large numbers were also marked their presence.
The DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan assured that every possible measure will be taken for the development and upliftment of downtrodden societies. He informed that the BJP government-led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is concerned about every citizen and concrete measures will be taken to address the grievances of people at the earliest.
