DC reviews functioning of Revenue Department

KISHTWAR, Mar 27: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma, today chaired an orientation programme for revenue staff besides reviewed the functioning of the Department here at an officers’ meeting.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Sub Divisional Magistrate Chatroo, Inderjeet Parihar; Sub Divisional Magistrate Paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Amir Hussain; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Marwah, Dr. Moshin Raza besides all Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and patwaries attended the meeting.
The DC took detailed review of various issues which included the progress and deposition of Jamabandis, Parat Patwar, Parat Sarkar, Girdawaries, attestation of mutations, progress on eviction of encroachment from government, Kahcharai, Common and forest land and scanning of revenue record.
The Girdawars and NTs were directed to submit the pending Jamabandi Partals within a week along with the completion certificate.
It was informed in the meeting that out of 156 Girdawaries, 86 are in progress and 70 are pending , besides out of the 12,82,289 pages about 11,87,484 pages have been scanned and checked. March 31, 2021 was set as deadline for completion and deposition of Jamabandies, Parat Patwar/Parat Sarkar and Girdawaries.
While reviewing the progress on removal of encroachments, the DC exhorted upon the Tehsildars to retrieve the encroached land and keep a strict vigil on further encroachments.
He also reviewed the progress on targets of removal of encroachment on 200 Kanal land assigned to each Naibat during the last meeting, and directed the Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildars to meet the target and ensure submit the photographs and copy of Roznamcha.
All the Tehsildars were further asked to attest the inheritance and other mutations within the stipulated timeline to avoid inconvenience to the people.
Orientation of revenue staff was also conducted by DC. They were asked to follow the set norms in letter and spirit and establish a grievances redress cell in their respective offices for disposal of public grievances.
The DC also asked the heads of department to hoist National flag on all government buildings as per the protocols and set procedure.
He further asked the Tehsildars to identify the ponds, springs and other water bodies in their jurisdiction for their maintenance and development.
