RAJOURI, Apr 5: Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Rajouri, Col. Jaweed Ahmed Mir (Retd.), today called on Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Kumar Shavan to discuss and review the implementation of schemes meant for the welfare of ex-servicemen.
Zila Sainik Welfare Officer briefed the chair about the functioning of the Board and highlighted welfare schemes implemented by Kendriya Sainik Board and Rajya Sainik Board for Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris/War Widows/Veterans, War Disabled, Orphans, gallantry award winner and Non-pensioner Ex-servicemen/Widows.
He also highlighted the issues of their concern and sought the intervention of the district administration for early redress of the same. He submitted that due to lack of resources, the intervention from district administration is solicited for better function of the Zila Sainik Board. The Deputy Commissioner assured him of all the possible support from the district administration in redressing their issues. |
