| Drug racket busted by Kishtwar police, 3 arrested with charas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, Apr 5: In continuation to its drive against the drugs, Kishtwar Police has detained three drug peddlers and recovered a consignment of cannabis drugs from their possession.
During routine checking, a police team led by Inspector Abid Bukhari, SHO Police Station Kishtwar assisted by SI Harnam Singh under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs. Kishtwar Devindar Singh and overall supervision of the Addl SP Kishtwar Mushim Ahmed laid a special naka at Shalimar. During the checking of the vehicles and pedestrians police detained three persons namely Jaffar Hussain S/O Abdul Latief R/O Semna Colony, Sohail Ahmed S/O Irshad Ahmed and Jaffer Hussain S/O Mohd Shafi both residents of Tatani Saroor. On the search of these persons police recovered approximately 100 grams of charas each from their possession. Police have registered case FIR No. 58/2021 under section 8/20 NDPS Act in Police Station Kishtwar. Police are investigating the case and more recoveries are likely in near future.
Kishtwar Police has adopted zero tolerance against all drug peddlers and their associates and special drive against those indulging in drug trafficking will continue. Police have requested the general public to extend full cooperation to police and furnish details of those indulging in drug trafficking. |
