DC Rajouri reviews COVID-19 containment measures
Sets target of 5000 vaccinations; 1000 RT- PCR , 2000 RAT testing per day

RAJOURI, Apr 5 : District Administration Rajouri today set a target of 5000 vaccinations and 1000 RT- PCR and 2000 RAT testing per day here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan convened to review the Covid Containment measures in the district.
The meeting was attended by the ADC Rajouri, Sher Singh; Additional SP, Liyaqat Chowdhury; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; CEO Education, Gulzar Hussain; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; Dy.CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; DHO, Dr Parveen Yograj; DIO NIC, Muzaffar Mir; ADIO NIC, Ashwini Sharma besides the Block Medical Officers and Arogya Mitra also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the DC sought a detailed report from the concerned officer regarding the steps being taken for the efficient containment and management of COVID19 in the district who in turn briefed the meeting about the same.
While giving details about the vaccination drive being carried out in the district, the meeting was informed that as many as 40036 persons in the district have been vaccinated during the first and the second phase, while 179875 persons above the age of forty-five years have been targeted to be vaccinated at 46 different locations in the third phase. The DC directed the concerned officer to vaccinate 5000 persons per day in the third phase and motivate the people to get vaccinated and take the assistance of Lok Mitra and PRIs in this regard.
Regarding the collection of samples for testing of COVID19, the DC asked the concerned officer to collect 1000 samples for RT- PCR and 2000 for RAT testing in the district. The DC also made it clear that no person shall be allowed to enter any Government office without COVID -Ve report.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to generate mass awareness about safety against CoronaVirus infection and also take strict action against those who violate COVID19 protocols.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress regarding the registration of the beneficiaries under the SEHAT scheme in different blocks of the district. He directed the concerned officers to motivate the people to for registration so that they can avail the benefits under the scheme. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officer to make the newly generated IDs of 100 CSCs functional at the earliest to ensure the saturation of the district under SEHAT Scheme. He directed the concerned to complete the target regarding the registration of all the beneficiaries of the district by 05th May this year.
