GDC Nowshera holds symposium to observe birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar

JAMMU, Apr 12: Government Degree College Nowshera today celebrated 130th birth Anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar and paid tributes to the chief Architecture of Indian Constitution under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav- India @ 75.
Department of Political Science in collaboration with Department of History of GDC Nowshera organised a symposium under the patronage of the College Principal Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma.
The Programme began with the welcome address of Dr. Bilal Ahmad, Department of Political Science. He threw light on the life of the Dr B R Ambedkar and his immense contribution in the framing of Indian Constitution.
A number of students participated in the symposium and presented their views about the philosophy of Dr Babasahab Ambedkar.
Dr Sarveer Hussain Department of History shared his valuable words with the students at the event. After the speeches of the students prizes were distributed among the winners. Shreya Gamble secured the first Prize, Ramneek Kour got the second prize and third prize went to Vanshika Gupta.
The event concluded with the formal vote of thanks by Shreya Gumble of SEM III. The whole event was conducted by Vanshika Gupta, SEM III.
