NSS units of GDC Kathua remember martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh

KATHUA, Apr 12: NSS Units of GDC Kathua today organised Floral tribute ceremony in the memory of martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh massacre and Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on the eve of Jallianwala Bagh massacre day and Dr B R Ambedkar Jyanti.
This programme was organised under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav celebration. The programme was started with offering floral tribute to the Martyrs and Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
Vice Principal Jaswinder Singh along with staff members, NSS Prog officers and NSS volunteers paid floral tribute to the martyrs and Baba Sahib B R Ambedkar.
In his message Principal memorized the sacrifices of freedom fighters who got martyrdom while assembled peacefully in Jallianwala Bagh against the arrest of their leaders and Rowalt Act, a black legislation passed by the then British Government.
On this occasion, NSS volunteer Naman Dogra briefed the importance of the this day and throw valuable light on life of the Martyrs. Jagriti Sharma recited poem on the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
Nitish Pansotra, Shakti Devi NSS volunteers also sang a patriotic song in a tribute to the Martyrs of Nation.
The group song was also presented by Malvika Sharma and her team members. Mesmerising gathering also took pledge to serve the nation and follow the footsteps of our Martyrs and freedom fighters which was read out by Abhishek Mahajan. Rakesh Jasrotia, Shub Kumar, Suresh Sharma, Kamini Gupta and other staff members also graced the occasion. The event was organised under the supervision of NSS Prog officers Manmohan Singh, Ritu kumar Sharma and Neha Bandral along with NSS volunteers.
