Intensive Covid testing being conducted at religious places in district Samba

SAMBA, Apr 16: Amidst surge in covid-19 positive case, intensive testing and sampling of general public are being conducted by the district administration Samba under directed supervision of Deputy Commissioner Anuradha Gupta.
Nodal Officer for testing and sampling for covid-19, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jatinder Mishra, informed that in view of ongoing religious festival season all the major Temples, Shrines, Mosques and Ashrams are being specifically marked for intensive covid testing.
Regular awareness camps regarding SOPs on covid, social distancing and masks usages are being held in the district in addition to the testing at all major places and markets in order to contain the covid spread, added the ACR Samba.
The district administration Samba appealed to the general public for not venturing outside their homes without any valid reasons and also exhorted them to get vaccinated against the covid as per the eligibility.
