Citizens’ Forum urges LG, CS to formulate policy for Covid situation

JAMMU, Apr 21: Citizens’ Forum said that partial lock down in J&K UT is of no benefit for small businesses and general people.
Forum said that since last year’s lock down small business has not picked up and the figures of 2-3 lakh corona positive in the country today has created a depression among the people for coming unforeseen conditions and events waiting in the store, they have almost stopped extra spending.
R K Chadha, president Citizens’ Forum said that it is medically and scientifically proved that pollen in the air is carrying Corona and it is too dangerous a situation. Last year at 50000 corona positive the lock down was introduced and it was beneficial step for the country, now it is crossing 2-3 lakh positive and many fold deaths, a partial lockdown can flare up the pandemic to a uncontrolled position. Life of citizen’s should not be put on stake; they are not common fodder or experiment tools. Forum urged LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary BVR Subramanyam to formulate a Disaster, Medical and Financial policy for J&K UT to help for bare minimum living conditions of the citizens.
