Inter college essay writing competition organised

Jammu, Apr 23: As a part of the year long celebration of the 75th year of Indian independence ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ inter College essay writing competition was organised by Government degree college Sunderbani on theme ‘India’s Struggle For Independence: Lessons For Modern India’. Principal of the college Dr Vandana Gupta appreciated the students for their participation with such great enthusiasm. She emphasised that by organizing such competitions online we can engage student community to participate actively and constructively. By organizing various programmes online students can protect themselves by staying inside and by actively participating in various activities they can enhance their calibre.
Prof. Sheraz Kousser was coordinator of the programme and Prof Beant Singh was co- coordinator. The judges for this competition were Dr Mohd Azam (convener), Prof Mukesh Sharma (Co- convener) and Ravi kumar.
In the essay writing competition 35 participants from different institutions of higher education across the country participated. Ist position was secured by Samiksha Sharma from Gdc Sunderbani, 2nd Position was secured by Ansuja Devi, Ishfaq Ahmed from Jamia Millia Islamia secured 3rd position and Palak Goria from Gdc Sunderbani fetch 4th position in the said Competition.
