JKMEF seeks redressal of medical employees’ demands

Jammu, Apr 23: Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) today held a meeting and discussed their demands and appealed the government to address the same.
Their demands include a separate ward or treatment facility should be provided to all infected medical employees. As the speedy recovery of the employees is needed to avoid any shortage of work force in near future, president of Federation Susheel Sudan said.
“There are so many causalities of our health worker due to Covid 19 but the 50 lacs insurance cover given by the Govt. Is still pending in many cases. The Government is urged to release their 50 laces insurance claim as early as possible”, Sudan said.
The other demands include giving genuine service benefits i.e. ( DPC) which had not been done since last four years.
“Despite the instructions issued by Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education Department Atal Dulloo, the incumbent Director Health services is delaying this by one or another reason, due to which there is unrest among the employees .If there any protest or strike is called in future it will be the responsibility of the Director Health services”, Sudan said.
At last it was unanimously demanded in the meeting to convene the DPC meeting at the earliest.
