Jammu, Apr 23: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta has urged the party workers to gear up to address the concerns of the people on account of the alarming situation having arisen due to abrupt surge in COVID-19 positive cases during the ongoing second wave of the pandemic.
Addressing the party workers meeting here today, Kavinder Gupta asked the booth level workers to maintain consistent liaison with the administration as well as the common people at the grass root level and initiate relentless efforts to contain spread of the mutated strains of the fatal Covid-19 virus.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that BJP has already constituted several committees besides launching helpline number for the convenience of the people in the crucial fight against corona, and today it is time for the party workers to act as a bridge between the administration and the people so that in today’s emergent situation common people do not face any problem related to availability of basic amenities or deficiency in government services especially those related to health care facilities.
Kavinder urged the booth level workers to spread massive awareness in their areas about the need for exercising utmost self precaution which has become inevitable to protect every individual, the society and the nation from this second wave of Corona virus. He also appealed to the general public to follow all Covid SOPs and seriously take all precautions by wearing masks, using sanitizers and maintaining requisite social distancing.
