Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 23: A delegation of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) today interacted with Kashmir Pandits, residing in various camps in Jammu.
The team was comprised of President Ram Krishen Wangnoo , Ravinder Raina Vice-President and Bharat Bushan Gosani General Secretary.
During the interaction, the migrants demanded that under Ayushman Bharat Yojana, their money should be refunded which some agency charged for issuing the Ayushman Bharat Yojana Card some months back but PMJAY cards were not issued, reasons best known to the then agency and approximately that amount incurred Rs 60 lakh.
The migrant camp dwellers also demanded that the monthly financial assistance given to relief holders should be enhanced.
The Jagati camp dwellers sought the intervention of relief and rehabilitation commissioner for providing them portable water which presently they don’t have because the water which was supplied to them had developed waterborne disease in them as they complained.
The ASKPC took serious note of the situation and demanded that the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner should accelerate his efforts to solve the portable water crisis in Jagti camp.
ASKPC further reiterates its earlier demand that Kashmiri Pandit should be rehabilitated at “one place in Kashmir” that would be the only better solution to stop them from re-migration after rehabilitation in Kashmir.
Further, it demanded that all 9740 Kashmiri Pandit students should be provided jobs that passed their computer based test for Divisional/ District cadre post for various posts in different Departments under PM Package for Kashmiri Migrants and Non migrant Kashmiri Pandits advertised vide Advertisement Notification NO. 3, of 2020 dated 01-12-2020.
