DSEJ organises motivational talk on’ Hope during Pandemic Times’ under Manodarpan

JAMMU, Apr 30: To provide psychosocial support to all stakeholders of School Education Department during Covid Pandemic time, the Counselling Cell of Directorate of School Education Jammu organised a motivational talk on Hope-Ek Shamma Zindagi ki (Hope during pandemic times) under the patronship of Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma Director School Education Jammu.
Dr. Geetanjali Kumar, Psychologist and Motivational Speaker, was the key resource person for the event.
This event was organized under Manodarpan, an initiative of the Ministry of Education under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, aimed to provide psycho-social support to students and other stakeholders for their mental health and well-being.
The Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, termed the present scenario as the hard time and suggested that in this depressive environment, ‘our focus should be on Ray of Hope.’ “We should keep ourselves aloof of social media and try to be mentally healthy too by igniting a ray of hope for the happy well-being of all,” he said.
Dr. Geetanjali Kumar, in her discourse on Hope emphasized, on imbibing certain virtues amongst us viz. Knowledge, wisdom, courage, noble deeds, truthfulness, etc.
“We as an individual can make a difference. We should always make good choices to get positive responses and always focus on positive numbers,” she said. She added that prayers have great powers and these must be taught to our children. What we think, we create it and what we imagine, and we become of that. So, try to make less use of social media and develop positive thoughts to be good citizens of society.
The Motivational Talk was live on Facebook and it was attended by all stakeholders of the School Education Department through zoom too. It benefitted more than 18,000 stakeholders.
