Reasi, Apr 30: In continued drive aginst Drug Abuse and Illicit Liquor, an information received at police station Arnas from reliable sources that one person namely Kako Ram R/O Bandhar, Panassa, tehsil Thakrakote, Reasi is indulged in the business of distillation & selling of illicit liquor (Hooch) at village Bandhar, Panassa of District Reasi. On this, police party from Police Station Arnas conducted raid and recovered 15 litres of illicit liquor and 55 Litres of Lahan from his house. On seeing the police party accused person Kako Ram tried to escape from the spot but got arrested after hectic efforts of Police.
In this regards FIR.No 31/2021 US 48(a)/50 Excise Act registered at Police Station Arnas and investigation initiated. People of the area in general & women in particular appreciated the efforts of Reasi police in curbing the menace of illicit liquor in the area. |
