JAMMU, May 5: To supervise and facilitate the Kharif seed distribution among the farmers, the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO) Marh, Dr Ashwani Kumar Jojra inspected different Zonal Seed Stores falling in the Sub-Division.
On spot instructions were laid down by Dr Jojra for following all the SOPs of COVID-19 during the entire Seed distribution process. He informed the farmers that sufficient stock of Paddy, Maize and Fodder Seed has been maintained in the Seed Stores by the Sub Division Marh.
He further assured the farmers that there will be adequate and timely supply of seed during the season so that they don’t face any difficulty regarding procurement of the seed required by them.
The farmers hailed the Agriculture Department for their role in maintaining thorough supply of HYV seeds. SDAO Marh during his extensive tour also visited the Wheat Procurement Centers set up by the Agriculture Department in coordination with Food Corporation of India.
He was apprised of the present position of Wheat Procurement and stocking/off take of seeds by the concerned officers/officials comprising of AEO Marh Dr Vikram Katryal, JAEO Jaswan Joginder Singh, AEAs Ravinder Kumar, Rinku Sharma, Radhika Gupta, Ajay Pal, Simranjeet Singh, Chanchal Kumar, Store Keeper Mohinder Singh & GCO Ramesh Kumar.
